Thank you for a wonderful evening of Big Band music. I don't know when I've had more fun! Your choice of tunes was terrific (I particularly appreciated the opportunity to play some of those challenging instrumentals--Basie Straight Ahead, Joshua, Zuit Soot, etc.), and I thought the band sound terrific. It was one of the best big band experiences of my life.
You guys swing hard! :)

Just wanted to write a note of thanks! Everything at the wedding was
absolutely perfect! The band was everything we wanted and I know everyone
had a great time. Thank you so much! I really appreciate you allowing
Robyn to sing our first dance song; that was very special for me. Also New
York, New York with my grandfather; not everyone has an opportunity like
that. Thanks again; I hope to have an opportunity to hear your band again in the future!

We are from Atlanta here in Charleston on business and had a wonderful dinner at Satchmo's. What a wonderful addition to the spectacular meal to have such wonderful entertainment! You'd swear Sinatra has been revived in this gentlenman. Can't wait to come back to Charleston just to hear more! My wife and I loved it!!

I have known Joe as an entertainer and fellow performer for sometime,now. He is a superb organizer, he has a lovely singing voice, and Joe can play the white keys and the black ones. Fun, fun, music to dance to. - dancefrankie!

The band was great!! People kept asking who you were and how we found you. I explained that Jule and Jonathan "found" you on the internet. You were wonderful, and gave such an elegance and big city feel to the evening. The guests were from New York, Chicago, and London, and Milan, to name a few places, and loved your playing. you helped us show that we can do it up right in SC!

Mike and I want to thank you for all that you did to make our day so special. We couldn't have been more blown away. Our only regret is that the evening had to end so soon. We could've danced to you all night! And we're not alone. You guys were a hit!. It meant so much to me to have Vivaldi's (Concerto in D). I know you must have bent over backwards to make that possible. Thank You. "At Last" was amazing. And my father was overjoyed with "My Girl". He has not stopped talking about it...and Mike's song of "Chloe" is a memory I'll cherish always.Joe you brought the house down. Thank You. My best. Chloe

Just last Saturday, May 21, 2005 - our
daughter was married at BrookGreen Gardens. Joe Clarke orchestrated the music
before the wedding as our guests
arrived and for the actual wedding ceremony. Everyone told us how this band fit
perfectly into the beautiful setting at Brookgreen.
Joe Clarke was responsible also for making sure the selections chosen by the
bride for the processional and wedding ceremony were
all performed perfectly, tastefully,
and as we had hoped. Truly the music
set the tone for the entire wedding and
made the wedding just as our daughter,
Melissa, had dreamed it would be.
After the wedding, as the photographer
was taking pictures of the wedding party, music was provided for the guests as
they enjoyed appetizers.
Joe Clarke did a fine job of introducing the bride and groom before
dinner. A sit down dinner was served and music kept us all entertained during
that part of the evening. Then
he handled the traditional pause so the best man could toast the newly married
couple and announced their first dance as man and wife. This was
followed by the dance with the bride and her father and a special additional
dance of the groom and his mother.
The guests then all filled the dance floor and danced and danced - thoroughly
enjoying every wonderful song. Both the 50 year old set and the
25 year old set were on the dance floor as the music suited everyone.
Joe Clarke and his band really showed us all why our daughter had raved about
them and wanted only them to play for this momentous occasion in her life.
Their selections and arrangements made the party. Everyone loved their style
and we received compliments from all our guets. Words like "incredible" -
"fabulous" - "awesome" - "fantastic" were a few of the adjectives used to
describe Joe Clarke and his Big Band.
We might add that Joe Clarke worked with us very graciously and took all our
personal requests into account with much sensitivity. His band gave a
fine impression not only by their music but by their manners to our guests.
Truly, our daughter's wedding
was an evening no one will ever forget and a significant reason for that is
because of this fine group of musicians. Thanks Joe and please convey also our
deepest gratitude to each and every member of your band.
How could we ever
forget to mention her and her gorgeous voice! She was absolutely incredible and
many guests remarked to us about her voice and everyone enjoyed having a female
vocalist for many of the love
songs. Please convey to her our deepest thanks for being such a vital
part of our daughter's wedding last
Saturday evening at Brookgreen.
